Efficient Separation of Lead-Acid Battery Components

The crushing and sorting system is the first step in lead-acid battery recycling. Through crushing, washing, and multi-stage separation, batteries are efficiently separated into lead paste, lead grids, polypropylene (PP) casings, and separators for downstream processing.

Our system features fully enclosed wet processing with acid mist collection, effectively controlling lead dust and acid mist emissions while achieving high separation efficiency and material purity, providing quality feedstock for desulfurization and smelting processes.

Acid Draining

Draining and collecting electrolyte (dilute sulfuric acid) from batteries, neutralizing or recycling for process use.

Wet Crushing

Crushing batteries under water spray to suppress dust, breaking down into paste, grids, and plastic fragments.

Hydrodynamic Separation

Using density differences in water to separate lead paste (sinks), PP (floats), and grids (intermediate).

Dewatering & Collection

Dewatering separated materials, collecting lead paste for desulfurization, grids for smelting, PP for recycling.
