CRUSHING & SORTING SYSTEM

Efficient Physical Separation for High-Quality Black Mass

The crushing and sorting system is the core front-end process for lithium-ion battery recycling. Through multi-stage crushing, magnetic separation, eddy current separation, and air classification, batteries are efficiently separated into black mass (electrode powder), copper/aluminum foils, and steel/plastic casings.

Our system features fully enclosed design with nitrogen protection, effectively preventing thermal runaway risks while ensuring high separation efficiency and product purity, providing quality feedstock for downstream hydrometallurgical processes.

Crushing & Sorting Process

01
Discharge & Disassembly

Safe discharge treatment, removing plastic casings and outer packaging, preparing for crushing.

02
Primary Crushing

Coarse crushing under nitrogen protection, breaking battery packs into smaller pieces for subsequent processing.

03
Secondary Crushing

Fine crushing to target particle size, liberating electrode materials from current collectors.

04
Sorting & Classification

Magnetic separation, eddy current separation, and air classification to obtain black mass and metal fractions.
